KENOSHA -- One person has died in a single-car, high-speed accident in Kenosha County, according to the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department.
The accident occurred on the Highway 50 off-ramp from I-94 when the car hit a traffic light post.
In a media release, Sgt. Bill Beth explained that the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
"There are no obvious reasons for the crash to have happened," Sgt. Beth said. "The roads were clear and dry, no other vehicles were involved."
The driver didn't have any identification on him, but did not appear to be the registered owner of the car based on gender and age, the release explained.
"There were no skid marks to indicate that the driver tried to stop the vehicle," Beth said.
