One dead after crash involving school bus
MILWAUKEE -- One person is dead after a crash involving a school bus.
It happened just before 2 o'clock Friday afternoon near 60th and Villard. According to Milwaukee Police, witnesses say a car headed north along 60th failed to stop at a traffic signal, crossed the center line and hit the light pole in the center lane.
The vehicle then hit the front-end of the school bus before flipping over.
The driver of the car, a 40-year-old man, died at the scene.
No children were on the bus at the time. The bus driver, a 68-year-old-man, was injured and taken to a hospital. There is no word right now on his condition.
