Obama, Walker order flags flown at half-staff
WASHINGTON - President Obama issued an order on Monday that all flags on all public buildings, military and naval posts, stations and vessels be flown at half-staff until sunset on Friday, Sept. 20.
The order was due to the shooting at the Navy Yard in Washington, D.C. on Monday, Sept. 16 that took the lives of 12 victims. The shooter, Aaron Alexis, also died.
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker followed up Obama's order by proclaiming the half-staff order within the state of Wisconsin.
