Elderly Oak Creek man charged with murdering his wife
A man from Oak Creek faces a charge of first degree murder after allegedly shooting and killing his wife before trying to take his own.
Jack Lang, 76, allegedly killed his wife June in their home on the 1100 block of Wayland Avenue. on Wednesday.
He faces up to life in prison if he is convicted.
According to the criminal complaint, Jack called 911 and told a dispatcher he had shot his wife and himself.
Oak Creek Police came to their home and found June lying on her bed with a revolver on the side of the bed.
Fire department crews could not revive her.
Jack told police, according to the complaint, that they had gotten into an argument, he " just lost it" and "could not take it anymore."
He then told police he got a gun, loaded it and told his wife he had the weapon.
Jack said to police that June, who was blind, didn't believe him and called him a baby.
Then, according to the criminal complaint, he "held the gun about three inches away from her face and shot her."
He then called 911 and tried to take his own life, injuring himself.
