WATERFORD -- A therapist in Waterford has pleaded not guilty to charges of abusing an autistic boy.

Prosecutors say Stephen Jacobs kicked, elbowed, and heat-butted the three year-old child during a therapy session last month. The criminal complaint says the boy’s mother set up a camera and the video shows the abuse taking place.

Jacobs could spend more than 17 years in prison if convicted.
