Suspect in Andrew Boldt's death charged with murder

Cody Cousins, the Purdue University student accused of killing Andrew Boldt of West Bend, was charged with murder Thursday morning.

According to new court documents, Boldt suffered both gunshot and stab wounds.

The documents filed Thursday indicate police found Boldt inside room 067 in the electrical engineering building on campus. Police located a handgun on the floor along with several shell casings.

Cousins was found outside the building on the ground. He had his hands behind his head with blood on his hands and clothes.

Multiple witnesses identified Cousins as the person who stabbed and shot Boldt, who was working as a teaching assistant in the lab.

Police are still searching for a motive.

Visitation for Boldt will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28 at Saint Frances Cabrini Church. A funeral mass will follow at 7 p.m.
