MT. PLEASANT -- A dog might be a priceless commodity to an owner, but to a crook the puppy could be worth several hundreds of dollars.

Mount Pleasant Police are still on the hunt today for two men officers say held up a woman at knife-point and demanded cash. She didn't have any, so the crooks snatched the next best thing: her five-month-old German Shepard puppy, Awol.

Police released these descriptions of who they are looking for:
  • Suspect #1 (passenger) described as a black male in his early 20’s, approximately 5’9” tall, clean shaven, short hair wearing a red hat, dark shirt with blue jeans
  • Suspect #2 (driver) described as a black male in his early 20’s, approximately 5’8” tall, thin build, wearing a dark shirt and blue jeans.
Officers report they drove off in a vehicle described as a newer red small car with tinted windows.
