NWS confirms 6 tornadoes hit Wisconsin this week
A second major line of severe storms swept across southern Wisconsin Wednesday morning.
The storm set off a tornado warning for Dane and Jefferson countines. According to the Wisconsin Emergency Operations Center, no touchdown was reported. The storm also set off a severe thunderstorm warning in Dodge, Jefferson and Walworth and Waukesha counties, as well as an urban and small stream flood advisory in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties.
No major damage or injuries have been reported at this time.
Multiple trees and power lines went down in the Milwaukee metro area due to strong winds.
A total of six tornadoes -- including one in Platteville and one in Vernona -- touched down across southern Wisconsin during the late evening and early morning hours of Monday and Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Two more happened in Grant County and another two in Green County.
