NFL sets stadium wi-fi/cell standards
LAMBEAU FIELD - The NFL is asking stadiums like Lambeau Field to upgrade their technology.
The most important upgrades have to do with wireless internet and cell service on game day. Leaders with the Packers say it's all about making the fan experience better.
"For us, it's an ongoing process. There's some technology that is involved -- and Lambeau Field presents a challenge structurally for providing good coverage with a cellular signal," said Packers spokesman Aaron Popkey.
By the end of the 2014 season, the NFL is asking all teams to provide wi-fi options to fans so they can check on fantasy football teams and use social media at the games.
