Milwaukee police search for attempted armed robbery suspects

MILWAUKEE -- Police are searching for two armed suspects who attempted to rob the Community Financial Check Cashing Services Center, 6069 N. Teutonia Avenue, Saturday.

The suspects entered the center around noon with a black semi-automatic handgun and ordered everyone inside to get on the ground. They demanded money from the bank tellers, but were unable to leave with anything.

They fled on foot.

Suspect one was described as a male, between 20-27 years-old and 5'9" to 6' tall. He was wearing a dark t-shirt over a dark hooded sweatshirt, with a mask covering half his face. He had on dark jeans and had a black backpack slung over his shoulder.

Suspect two was described as a male, between 20-27 years-old and 5'8"-6' tall. He was wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt with the word "WISCONSIN" across the chest in white letters, light gray sweatpants and white shoes. He also had a mask covering his face.
