Milwaukee neighborhood marches for peace
MILWAUKEE -- at the Bronzeville festival near North Avenue and Martin Luther King Drive, the vendors are promoting more than good music and good food. They're also spreading a message of peace.
With a message that blends, faith, family, and community, the festival kicked off with a march for peace, hoping to end the gun violence that has plagued the north side community in recent months.
The festival itself is designed to revive the neighborhood, and in turn foster a community that celebrates the positive, instead of dealing with violence. The festival runs through next Saturday.
