Milwaukee County Emergency Management on high alert

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee County Emergency Management office will be closely monitoring the extreme cold weather that is predicted for this coming Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. A Wind Chill Warning is in effect from 6:00 p.m. on Sunday to noon on Tuesday. The predicted lowest temperature would by -17 degrees with a low wind chill of -44 degrees by 8 Monday morning.

Emergency Management will be on stand-by to activate its operations center and emergency plans if needed. They will be able to respond to local municipal requests for assistance as well.

Emergency Management is advising the public to monitor statements released by local officials for closures of government services and schools in your area.
