MILWAUKEE - The holiday season is getting underway in Milwaukee, and the city's Christmas Tree was cut down Friday morning.

The tree was taken from the Shepherd Lutheran Church, and city leaders will take part in the 100th year of a special tradition later on Friday.

Here's something else to get you into the holiday spirit - Santa Claus is coming to town!

His first visit to Mayfair Mall is Friday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Santa will be back Saturday, and throughout the holiday season, for more visits and photos.

Another holiday tradition is back. We Energies Cookie Book giveaway is going on now. But its signature event is Saturday at Miller Park from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Thirty-five recipes were selected for this year's book, which dates back to 1928.
