Milk price hike won't be immediate

WASHINGTON, DC -- Milk prices are expected to go up this year, but it won't happen right away.

Congress let the Farm Bill expire, and that's sparking fears that the price of a gallon of milk will spike to as much as $7. It might not happen, though, if congress can work out a new deal soon.

But even if that fix never materializes, milk prices won't likely go up until March or April.
