MENOMONEE FALLS - A Menomonee Falls Goodwill store was evacuated Wednesday morning after management found a suspicious item in a donation bin.

It happened just before 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the store located on Water Tower Place. Police say the item in question was described as a "grenade", but investigating officers were unable determine if it was real or a novelty item.

The store was briefly evacuated while the Milwaukee Police Department Bomb Squad responded. The Bomb Squad safely destroyed the item at a safe location, and the store was quickly reopened.
