First death from Legionnaires' Disease reported in Milwaukee Co.

MILWAUKEE - A man from Milwaukee County died Aug. 16 at St. Luke's possibly died of Legionnaires' Disease, according to the Journal Sentinel.

According to the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner, the man was 56 years old.

The city has seen a recent outbreak of the disease, and the number of confirmed cases are currently at 30.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, some of the symptoms of the disease include cough,
shortness of breath, high fever, muscle aches and headaches.

The symptoms usually begin two to 14 days after exposure.
