Man reunited with family after LAX shooting
MILWAUKEE - Leon Saryan landed safely in Milwaukee, Saturday, after a terrifying encounter with the alleged shooter at LAX.
Saryan was going through security when Paul Ciancia began shooting TSA members.
"I had my shoes and belt still off when the shots rang out," Saryan said.
He ran and hid, however, Ciancia found him and asked him a question.
"He looked at me and he said TSA? as a question and I'm just shaking me head no and I was just hunched down in the corner and I was afraid," said Saryan.
The shooter left Saryan and continued searching for other security screeners. Saryan then called his wife.
"He called me at work and said that he almost got shot and that he was hiding," said Shirley Saryan.
Saryan was able to escape to another terminal while the airport remained on lockdown.
"I wasn't sure if I was ever going to make it," Saryan said.
