APPLETON, Wis. (AP) -- Bail is set at $1 million for a man accused of fatally shooting a man at a downtown Appleton nightclub.

Twenty-eight-year-old Chong Lee of Neenah made his initial court appearance Monday.

Lee is charged with first-degree intentional homicide and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Lee was arrested Friday, four days after 25-year-old Joshua Richards of Green Bay died of a gunshot wound to the head.

An autopsy found Richards' injury was consistent with a small-caliber firearm shot very close to his head, according to the criminal complaint filed Monday.

Post-Crescent Media reports the prosecutor requested the $1 million bond, citing Lee's affiliation with a local street gang and his criminal history.
