MPD investigating multiple weekend shootings
MILWAUKEE -- At least six people are recovering from gunshot wounds over the weekend.
Three people were shot Sunday.
The first incident happened around 2:15 a.m. Sunday near 50th and Center Streets. The victims were a 28-year-old male and a 23-year-old male. The 28-year-old is in critical condition and the 23-year-old has non-life-threatening injuries. Both are being treated at area hospitals.
The second incident happened around 2:20 a.m. Sunday near 20th and Center Streets. The victim, a 19-year-old male, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is being treated at an area hospital.
Three people were shot Saturday.
The first incident happened around 12:20 p.m. near 76th and Locust Streets. The victim, a 24-year-old male is in stable condition at an area hospital. Police said the shooting appears to be drug-related.
The second incident happened around 8:30 p.m. near 20th Street and Hayes Avenue. The victim, a 22-year-old male, is in stable condition at an area hospital.
The third incident happened around 11:30 p.m. The victim, a 50-year-old female, sustained a non-life-threatening injury and is being treated at an area hospital. Police said information indicates the shooting was accidental.
Police have not reported arrests in connection with any of these shootings.
