MOUNT PLEASANT - It's an annual Christmas tradition that's been celebrated for centuries: Live Nativity Scenes.

"We have actors, readers, hymns, and carols," said Pastor Brian Lierman at Lutheran Chapel of the Cross Church.  "It's a good time for the family."

They're not re-writing the Bible, but the church may have to take some 'creative liberties,' considering the weather.

"It was probably a lot warmer in Bethlehem," Lierman joked.  "People will have to bundle up under (the costumes).  You might see more bulging characters out there."

No matter what the weather, the Nativity Scene will go on.

"We've had 8 inches of snow (before)," Lierman said.  "We muscle on through."

Show times at Lutheran Chapel: Friday (6 and 7 p.m.) and Saturday (4 and 6:30 p.m.)
