Kenosha progress moves out some residents
KENOSHA - A neighborhood smack dab in the middle of progress is waiting for Governor Walker's decision on a proposed Kenosha casino.
Karen Kushman and her husband have lived next to where Amazon.com will build a massive warehouse for decades.
She was packing Sunday after deciding to take a buyout from the internet giant. The area is the site of several big projects.
She admits she's heartbroken, but she knows it's for the best. "I don't even want to think about the last time I walk out the door." said Kushman.
The proposed casino would be built about a mile away. Governor Walker announced Friday he hasn't decided if he will allow it to be built.
Kushman knows the jobs are good for Kenosha. She said that doesn't make moving any easier.
