Jury finds MPD officer guilty of misconduct
MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee police officer accused of slamming a suspect into a wall was found guilty Thursday.
Rodney Lloyd was arresting a man on June 16 when the incident occurred.
According to the June criminal complaint, MPD surveillance caught Lloyd bringing the man into the booking room. "Lloyd, with a hand on [the victim's] head, forcibly drove [his] head into the concrete block wall adjacent to a bench while placing him onto the bench."
A jury found Rodney Lloyd guilty of misconduct in office, but did not find him guilty of abusing a prisoner.
Lloyd could receive 18 months in prison when he is sentenced next month.
