Jury awards man $500,000 in illegal stop by Milwaukee police
MILWAUKEE - A jury has awarded a half million dollars to a man stopped and strip searched by Milwaukee police.
It's the first of dozens of strip search lawsuits against Milwaukee Police. And, if the rest of them go this way, it could cost the city millions of dollars.
The jury ruled police had no legal reason to stop and frisk a man on the streets of Milwaukee, though they had no issue with the strip search that followed. Steve Chamraz has more.
