Johnson Creek schools locked down after threatening texts
JOHNSON CREEK - Johnson Creek schools were locked down Tuesday afternoon after an adult texted their own family members threatening their lives.
It happened around 4:00 p.m. in a subdivision in the west side of the village. Police Department Sgt. Mike Gosh says a SWAT team was called to the scene.
After an order from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, the district posted a notice on its website saying it was on lock down. The threat in question, however, is located on the other side of town.
The lockdown was listed around 5:00 p.m. and students were allowed to leave.
