JANESVILLE -- A Janesvile man was arrested Tuesday night, but police had to rescue him first.

Janesville police said Bradley Bobzien, 52, fled from a traffic stop around 6 p.m. He continued to flee by hopping out of his car and jumping into a river near the Centerway dam.

Bobzien, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant, began to struggle in the water. Crews used a rescue rope and boat to get him.

He was arrested and taken to the hospital.
