WAUKESHA -- A short pursuit on I-94 near Ryan Road ended this morning after a state trooper used a "successful pit maneuver" to pull over a suspected intoxicated driver.

Timothy Michael O’Keefe, 39, of Oak Creek, was driving 10 mph without headlights on and was weaving all over the roadway, according to a release from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

When the trooper made contact with an assisting Milwaukee County deputy, O’Keefe turned on his vehicle and fled the scene.

O’Keefe was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, his sixth offense, the release said.

There were no injuries.
