House set to vote on budget deal
WASHINGTON, DC – The House of Representatives is expected to vote on a bi-partisan budget deal Thursday.
The lead congressional negotiators from both parties reached an agreement on the federal budget. Wisconsin congressman Paul Ryan, a Republican, and Democratic Washington Senator Patty Murray announced the framework on Tuesday night.
The deal would fund the government for two years and avert any near-term threat of another shutdown.
On Wednesday President Obama called the deal “a good start.”
