Green Bay Police investigate stabbing
GREEN BAY - An overnight stabbing in Green Bay prompted an investigation early Monday morning.
Officers were called to the scene right off of University Avenue on the 600 block of Peters Street just before 3:00 a.m. Monday morning.
When police arrived, a 27-year-old man had serious stab wounds to his chest.
Officers identified a suspect who had fled the scene on foot. A canine was called in to assist in the search and located the 26-year-old female suspect about two blocks away. She was taken into custody.
Officers say there is no danger to the public. The man is undergoing surgery.
