Gov. asks SBA to help Outagamie Co. storm victims
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Gov. Scott Walker is asking the Small Business Administration to help storm damage victims in Outagamie County.
The damage to homes and businesses from the Aug. 7 storm system didn't qualify for a Federal Emergency Management disaster declaration, so Walker is turning to the SBA for help. A declaration would allow individuals and businesses affected by the storms apply for low-interest loans.
The National Weather Service confirmed six tornadoes moved through the Fox Valley, causing more than $30 million in damage in Outagamie County alone.
