Gov. Walker declares state of emergency in advance of Thursday storm
MADISON - Governor Scott Walker has declared a State of Emergency in preparation for Thursday's winter storm.
According to the governor's release, some areas in west central and northwest Wisconsin could see more than 12" of snow.
Wisconsin Emergency Management, the Wisconsin National Guard, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Natural Resources, and the Wisconsin State Patrol will all be readied by the executive order.
The DOT advises people to limit travel, and have an emergency survival kit in your car if you have to take to the roads.
