GERMANTOWN - We're banding together, encouraging safe driving habits and saving lives in the process.

Monday morning, TODAY’S TMJ4’s Susan Kim and Vince Vitrano brought that message to Germantown High School.

Up to 1,400 high school students packed the gym, and none of them had their cell phones. With their full undivided attention, the teens learned an important lesson: don't be the story.

Banding together includes family, friends and anyone you know behind the wheel.

You can go on our Facebook page and take the pledge to not text and drive.

After taking the pledge, you can go to one of our sponsors or stop by the station to pick up your thumb band.
