Freight Train derails in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE -- A freight train derailed on Milwaukee's south side.
Mark Davis, a spokesman for Union Pacific says the train was going from Milwaukee to Chicago around 9 a.m. Sunday.
According to Davis, 10 cars derailed. The cars were carrying ash and clay.
Crews are still busy cleaning up the scene, but Clement Ave. is closed at Holt. It's unclear how long the scene will be closed as cleaning continues.
No one was injured, and nothing spilled from the cars.
Davis says about 12 Union Pacific freight trains travel the same route every day. Other trains will be rerouted or delayed while crews clear the scene.
