Freeway crash injures Milwaukee County Sheriff's Deputy

 MILWAUKEE -- A Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputy was injured while responding to a spun out vehicle on the freeway.

It happened around 10 AM Sunday morning. The deputy was responding to a spun out vehicle on I-94 near 92nd Street. He turned on his siren in order to begin moving traffic away from the vehicle when an SUV carrying two passengers hit the squad car from behind.

The deputy had neck and head pain - he was treated and released from a local hospital.

No one in the SUV was injured. 

The Milwaukee Police Department responded to the accident and cited the driver of the SUV for following too closely.
