Fox Point robber back in court
FOX POINT -- A man charged with murder after an armed robbery in Fox Point was back in court Thursday for his arraignment.
Tedric Sanders plead not guilty to felony murder and bail jumping. The criminal complaint says one of the suspects, Joshua Drake, pointed a gun at an employee. That's when the store owner's brother pulled out a gun and shot and killed Drake. Because Sanders was participating in the robbery, he is charged with homicide.
"In count one, you're charged with felony murder as a repeat offender,” said Judge Stephanie Rothstein. “You're charged with a maximum term of incarceration of up to 35 years. That's increased by an additional 6 years due to your status as a repeater."
The criminal complaint says at the time of his arrest, Sanders was out on bail, charged with fleeing from Wauwatosa Police, who were investigating a burglary at Tower Optical.
Sanders' trial is set for December.
