Four-legged guests move into fair's big Agriculture Park
WEST ALLIS -- This year's exhibit will rival any zoo.
Thousands of animals moved in to the Wisconsin State Fair Park today as hundreds more shoveled the hay, washed their herds and prepared their exhibits.
"We go from dairy cattle to the beef cattle to swine, chickens, rabbits, llamas, goats, and the Clydesdales at the state fair," explained Gene Cooper, one of the park's superintendents. "It's been an international show for a number of years.
Most of the presenters want more than just the adoration - the animals will also take place in several competitions. Winners get ribbons and cash.
