Former student arrested on UW-Stevens Point campus
STEVENS POINT, Wis. (AP) -- A former student has been arrested for venturing onto the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in violation of a restraining over court records indicate has been overturned.
A Dane County judge barred Decker from UW property after he appeared on several campuses protesting student activity fee policies. But a state appeals court ruled in January he was exercising his constitutional rights. The case is before the state Supreme Court.
Decker told Portage County Circuit Judge John Finn the order was no longer in effect. He posted a $250 cash bond and is set to appear at a hearing Monday.
