Former Packers LB Bishop may not make Vikings
MINNEAPOLIS - One of two former Green Bay Packers who defected to the Minnesota Vikings may not end up with them by the end of training camp.
Continual injury problems have led to Vikings Coach Leslie Frazier saying that Bishop has only two weeks to prove that he can stay healthy and produce or he may not be able to make the team, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
Bishop missed the entire 2012 Packers season due to a torn hamstring in a preseason game. A groin problem kept him out of the Vikings' first preseason game.
“This is an urgent time for me right now,” Bishop told the newspaper. “And not to put extra pressure on myself, but urgent to go out and do what I’ve been doing since I was 8. There’s an urgency there. But there’s also a calm and a real confidence there.”
