SOMERS - A 5-year-old boy was killed Tuesday evening after the car his sister was driving was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

It happened around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday on Highway E in Somers, according to the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department.

The boy's sister was driving a van eastbound when an oncoming vehicle ran a stop sign and crashed into them. Both the sister and the driver of the other vehicle are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The Sheriff's Department says they believe the driver of the vehicle that struck and killed the 5-year-old boy may have been intoxicated.
