Father's Day: 'Less about gifts and more about quality time with family'
BAY VIEW - Sunday is the one day a year devoted to Dad.
Experts say shoppers will spend more than 12 billion dollars on this Fathers day for things like gifts and food.
Some Dads like Augie Zuelzke say the day is less about gifts and more about quality time with family.
He was out with his son Ayden at South Shore Park in Bay View Sunday.
"You just enjoy food and family and having a couple of beers and hanging out." Zuelzke said.
The National Retail Federation estimates shoppers will spend around $113 on Dad this year, down from previous years.
The amount is also about $50 less than what is spent on Mothers Day.
In Southeastern Wisconsin, parks and other local attractions were busiest in the morning because of the possibility of bad weather later in the afternoon.
