RACINE -- Beulah Walker recounts the last words she heard her son Joseph say as he walked out the door last Friday night.

"He was just going to step out for a little while, have a few drinks and he would be back", said Mother Beulah Walker

But the 47 year old never made it back home.

"It was just unbelievable . i just really truly didn't want to believe it."

While hanging out the American Legion Post 546 two masked gunmen bum rushed the door demanding cash. Joseph Walker, described as a peace maker by his mother, was violently gunned down.

"Everyone who knew him knew how nice he was, and the kind of person he was. There is a hole that will never be filled. Never."

What's even more more painful for this grieving mother -- this is the second son she has had to bury in the last two years. And even as she mourns, Walker has already forgiven the man that pulled the trigger.

"I have to forgive them because that's the faith I live, but on the other hand they have no regard for what they have done and the thing about it is they need to be off the streets. "

Racine police continue to investigate the murder and robbery.

Joseph Walker leaves behind five children. A memorial fund has been set up to help the family with funeral cost. Donations can be made at any Wells Fargo Bank under the Joseph D. Walker memorial Fund.
