Family and friends stunned after Elkhorn woman is killed by police in Minnesota
ELKHORN - A Walworth County Mother is killed after a high-speed chase and shootout with Police in Minnesota.
Dawn Pfister and her boyfriend Matthew Serbus died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Serbus was behind the wheel when he hit another car. Department of Transportation video shows Serbus leading Police on the chase Friday morning.
He crashed after the hood of his car flipped up blocking his view.
The mother of two was riding in the passenger seat.
Police fired shots after someone jumped from the vehicle after the crash.
Friends say Pfister's family is stunned.
"I couldn't imagine how her kids feel without a mom, knowing they'll never be able to see her again or talk to her." said friend Amanda Brushwood.
Serbus and Pfister had warrants for their arrest in Minnesota.
The officers who fired shots are on routine administrative leave while the incident remains under investigation.
