CASCADE - A Sheboygan County woman has been charged with animal cruelty and neglect after her dog was found dead and frozen in her foreclosed home.

Kimberly Fidlin said her dog 'Lucky' was sick, but investigators say test showed the animal died from starvation.
The dog was discovered dead, frozen on it's pet bed by a maintenance worker checking up on the home.
The 39-year-old told prosecutors she started staying with a friend when the bills and the bank wouldn't stop calling. Left behind, all her possessions including her Beagle.
Neighbors tell TODAY'S TMJ4 they're heartbroken the friendly dog known around this neighborhood was left alone to die.
"I couldn't see doing it to any animal, big or small, to allow it to suffer in that way." Said one neighbor.
The criminal complaint states the utilities had been shut off.
Fidlin could face more than a year in prison if found guilty.
