Dirty Dining visits northwest side Chinese spot 4 times in 6 years
MILWAUKEE - It's Dirty Dining's fourth trip in six years to a Chinese spot on the city's northwest side.
Panda Hut on Lover's Lane Road near Silver Spring Drive can't seem to clean up its act. On Dirty Dining in 2008, 2011 and 2013, the problems are consistent. A big one across the board is cross-contamination issues. Also, dirty knives were stored on shelves and stained cutting boards - something the inspector has seen before.
We were not allowed to leave a message when we stopped by, and the owner did not return my call to talk about expiration dates missing on prepared food. It has to be thrown out after 7 days. There was no detergent for the dishwasher, and some plastic storage bins for food were broken and cracked.
Also having problems this week - Damian's Pizzeria and Taqueria on Windlake Avenue just off Lincoln. This pick up and delivery place has a problem with food temperature. An employee was not wearing gloves when making a salad, and there were rodent droppings in a restroom.
Keeping things clean this week - Qdoba on Wauwatosa Avenue in Wauwatosa.
