MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee sheriff's deputies arrested another wrong way driver this week.

According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was shutting down part of US-41 due to standing water around 3 a.m. Wednesday.

Deputies said Michael D. Pryor, 47, of Milwaukee, turned around and headed south in the northbound lanes.

A deputy was able to stop him. Pryor told the officer he thought all lanes of traffic were being closed, so he turned around.

After searching his car, deputies found a few rocks of suspected cocaine, a drug kit containing crack pipes and other drug paraphernalia.

Pryor faces charges of Second Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety (up to 10 years in prison), Possession of Controlled Substance – Crack (1 year in prison), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (maximum 30 days in jail).
