MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Fire Chief Mark Rohlfing is expected to announce his decision concerning the fate of the five remaining firefighters accused of vandalizing a firehouse in September 2013.

Nine firefighters were suspended on September 30 after Engine House 32, in the 1500 block of N. 30th street, was found vandalized. It was the last shift before the firefighters were expected to be transferred to other firehouses in the city.

Since an internal investigation began in October, two firefighters have taken early retirement and two probationary firefighters were fired.

The remaining five have been on paid suspension for months.
