KENOSHA COUNTY - The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is scheduled to reopen the I-94 West exit ramp to WIS 50 in Kenosha County by Saturday, September 21, at 8 a.m.

The northbound lanes are being expanded from 3 lanes to 4 lanes along the entrance and exit ramps.

By the same time on Saturday, traffic on I-94 West will also be switched to the newly-paved northbound lanes between WIS 50 and WIS 158, maintaining 2 lanes of traffic.

I-94 in both directions between WIS 50 and WIS 158 is planned to be opened to four lanes by late fall this year.

In addition, WIS 142 under I-94 will be closed from 8:30 a.m to 3:30 p.m. next week. These closures will start Monday, September 23 and run through Thursday, September 26.  Construction crews will be stripping the I-94 bridge over WIS 142. The same procedure will take place for Highway N next Friday, September 27, causing a closure from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All of these closures are weather-dependent and subject to change.
