MILWAUKEE -- A complaint filed by Milwaukee Fire Chief Mark Rohlfing stated new information about two Milwaukee firefighters accused of vandalizing a firehouse in September 2013.

The complaint said Robert J. Rutley and David R. Krebsbach violated department rules. Rutley admitted to placing pornography in the engine house and Krebsbach admitted to placing inappropriate materials identified as "SCAB signage."

Nine firefighters were suspended on September 30 after Engine House 32, in the 1500 block of N. 30th street, was found vandalized. It was the last shift before the firefighters were expected to be transferred to other firehouses in the city.

Since an internal investigation began in October, two firefighters have taken early retirement and two probationary firefighters were fired.

The future of the five remaining firefighters are expected tomorrow.

Last month, a panel recommended the remaining firefighters be fired, with the option to appeal to Milwaukee Fire Chief Mark Rohlfing.
