MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The attorney for Wisconsin Club for Growth is telling a federal court that a prosecutor should not be allowed to discuss possible settlement of his investigation into Gov. Scott Walker's campaign and others.

Thursday's filing is in response to one made Wednesday by investigator Francis Schmitz. He asked U.S. District Judge Rudolph Randa to clarify what was encompassed by his earlier order halting the investigation into Walker's campaign and conservative groups.

Wisconsin Club for Growth says in its filing that Schmitz should provide more information about what he intends to do or wants to do that could violate the order.

Wisconsin Club for Growth says it is concerned that any discussions Schmitz may be having to settle the investigation could violate the injunction.
