ChemWorks postpones meeting with Menomonee Falls residents
MENOMONEE FALLS -- Planned information meetings between ChemWorks and Menomonee Falls residents have been postponed, as the debate over the relocation of the industrial waste disposal company to the town continues.
“After careful consideration and discussions with Village staff, we have decided to postpone Thursday’s information meetings until an official determination has been made by the Village of Menomonee Falls regarding our company’s move,” said Mike Malatesta, the company’s president, in a release.
Residents have voiced concerns about the potential smells the plant would make in the subdivision.
Malatesta said in the release he believes it would be more productive to host these sessions in the context of a final decision on the matter.
