Cedarburg woman inducted into Packers Fan Hall of Fame
CEDARBURG - Since becoming the the 16th member of the Packers Fan Hall of Fame, Vivian Scherf-Laabs' phone has been ringing off the hook.
This devoted fan is one proud Packers backer.
How many fans can say they went to Super Bowl II to see the Packers defeat the Oakland Raiders in 1968 - and have the program to prove it?
"This is a picture of the Super Bowl I went to. Lombardi coached as a Packer, I saw his last game he coached as a Packer," says Schefr-Laabs.
It was Stewart, Vivian's twin brother, that nominated her for the ultimate fan spot.
The Cedarburg woman beat out diehards from as near as Germantown and as far as Canada.
Her love for the green and gold runs deep.
"This is Bart Starr, whose birthday is the same as ours."
Recently celebrating her 80th birthday, she says today's honor was one of the best gifts ever.
It definitely pays to be the ultimate fan - not only did Vivan get four club seats to a game at Lambeau Field plus an all expense paid trip to an away game, she also got $500 to spend in the Pro Shop.
